Denia is a city in the Valencian Community, Spain, located on the north coast of the province of Alicante. It is the capital of the Marina Alta region, also known as “Marquesado de Denia”. It has a population of 42,000 inhabitants, but in summer its population can quintuple.

Winters are short and mild, and summers long and hot. In fact, Dénia’s climate is so mild and placid that there is even a monument in the city itself praising its climatic bonanza.
