Alcocebre is a population center belonging, together with Capicorp and Las Fuentes, to the municipality of Alcalá de Chivert in the province of Castellón.
It is a coastal nucleus that consists of ten kilometers of coastline divided into five beaches and several virgin coves, being one of the few towns that is not fully urbanized.

Other public buildings are: The salt warehouse, from the 18th century, today converted into a disco; The old customs house or fielato, today disappeared due to the advance of the sea, and an old fortification of surveillance and coastal defense from the 15th century, the Capicorb tower, reused as a private home and the Ebrí tower located in the Sierra de Irta.
